6 Healthy Habits That Can Boost Your Immunity!
July 19, 2021 by Admin
There has been a disease called Covid-19 that was declared by the World Health Organization. The world needs to find a cure for this disease, and we as individuals should do more to protect ourselves by boosting our immunity. The best way to do this is with good food, exercise, sleep, and mental wellness.
HEALTHY HABITS
Eating right is the first step to having a healthy body. Eat healthy food and make sure that you are eating fresh food always. You can eat a diet with a lot of fiber (fruit and vegetables). India has spices, herbs, and plants in their kitchen that we can add to our diet for extra immunity: ginger, turmeric, holy basil, cumin or jeera, coriander and giloy.
EXERCISE
Exercising regularly is important to staying healthy. It helps with your heart, blood pressure, body weight and can protect you from diseases. Doing exercise every day will help produce more antibodies and T-cells in your body. It also helps to get rid of toxins and increase your metabolism. To stay safe when walking or jogging outside, make sure you distance yourself enough and bring a mask.
ADEQUATE SLEEP
It is not true that if you get more sleep, you will not get sick. But it is true that if you do not sleep enough, your immune system will be weaker and it may be easier for you to get sick
Older people need more sleep than young people. When adults are awake, they should try to sleep around seven or eight hours each day and children nine or ten hours each day. This can make the body strong enough to fight against diseases like the common cold.
STAY HYDRATED
Staying hydrated helps your body get rid of toxins and other things that can make you sick. Drink cold water, but not too much. Drink normal water as much as you can. If it is hard to drink plain water, add some lemon or berries to the water. You can also try different types of detox drinks for water! Keep drinking all the time so your body stays hydrated.
DESTRESS BY MEDITATION AND PRANAYAMA
In stressful times like these, people often feel very anxious and worried. One of the best ways to feel less stressed is to practice meditation and breathing exercises (pranayama). Meditation can be more helpful than just staying indoors. Also, spend some time every day doing things that make you happy. This could be gardening, reading or even cooking a meal.
GOOD HYGIENE HABITS
It is important to take care of your health when you are moving. You should wear a mask and gloves and wash your hands with soap. Alcohol based sanitizer can help too. Be careful around strangers, and follow the WHO guidelines.
